Alpine Run Project Launch Event
I had the privilege of photographing the launch event for the Alpine Run Project in Shoreditch—an inspiring new wellness initiative led by elite athlete John McAvoy and developed by Youth Beyond Borders. The project introduces hundreds of young people from inner-city communities across the UK to trail running in nature, using it as a powerful tool to support wellbeing, build leadership skills, and expand their horizons.
With partnerships from global brands like Nike, Nike Vision, Precision Fuel & Hydration, and Strava, the programme opens up extraordinary opportunities—including the chance to compete in the world’s most iconic trail race in the French Alps. The Shoreditch launch marked the first time all recruits came together, and I photographed over 300 individual portraits as well as capturing the energy and excitement of the main stage and speakers throughout the day. It was a powerful beginning to what promises to be a life-changing journey for so many.
